Young Prospects celebrates first anniversary of official launch

People we support and staff from Young Prospects joined together, along with some visitors from other services, to celebrate the first anniversary of the official opening of the new Young Prospects service at Shrewsbury Road in Redhill.

They enjoyed a barbecue and fun time in the garden, before tucking in to a celebration cake and then heading to the disco.

Chris Lloyd, Manager of Young Prospects, said “People we support are very happy at Shrewsbury Road – they all have a great time when they visit us, some even call it “awesome”! Everyone is really looking forward to the summer break when we have a large activity schedule planned, with many activities already getting booked up.

“Over the last year we have supported 44 people over three services, and additionally have had six emergency respite placements. Our most recent inspection from the Care Quality Commission rated us ‘Good’ whilst also pinpointing some outstanding practice. The service also won a number of individual and team awards at the recent Active Prospects’ People Awards. Staff and people we support are rightly proud of Young Prospects!”
