Have your say, make a difference

What is the Pro-Active Community?

They are a group of individuals, who are all experts by experience, with many having a learning disability, autism or acquired brain injury. The group is open to everyone within Surrey, as a place to meet new people and campaign on issues that impact those living with a learning disability.

History

The Pro-Active Community was initially a group formed of people Active Prospects support, having a say in the day-to-day runnings of our organisation. The community sit and work alongside our board and board members, attending meetings and providing recommendations for the running of Active Prospects.

In 2020, they gained their own, independent charitable status. The group now represents people with learning disabilities, autism and acquired brain injury within the Sussex and Surrey regions. The goal of the Pro-Active Community is to become a Surrey wide network, providing a voice to people and connecting to make real change.
