We are delighted to share that Jessica Mugwambi, Home Manager within our Brighton team, has won Manager of the Year at the inaugural Brighton & Hove Care Awards.
The award recognises Jessica’s outstanding leadership, commitment to inclusion and true belief in every person’s potential to achieve their goals and ambitions.
Jessica leads our brilliant Brighton team, supporting people who had previously spent long periods in institutional settings and enabling them to live more independently. The team work closely with Brighton & Hove City Council and Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, providing personalised support informed by a Positive Behaviour Support framework, with a strong focus on each person’s wellbeing.
This incredible approach has helped people join local steel bands, make their first-ever journey by train, and achieve so many personal goals.

The evening brought wider recognition for Active Prospects. We were proud to receive nominations for Care Service of the Year and Care Worker of the Year, with highly commended recognition in both categories. This reflects the dedication and commitment of colleagues throughout Active Prospects.
