Active Prospects has received an incredible £5,000 donation from leading photo printing company, CEWE.

Thanks to a heartfelt nomination from renowned photographer Christie Goodwin, whose son is a person we support, CEWE selected us as the beneficiary during Christie’s jury presidency of the CEWE Photo Award. This generous donation will enable us to launch our ‘Creative Moments’ project – a fantastic initiative designed to empower the people we support by encouraging creativity and connection through photography.

Through this project, autistic people and others we support will have the chance to venture into nature, capturing lasting memories with the guidance of our team. The initiative will conclude with a vibrant photo competition, open to carers, the people we support, and their families. Winners will be celebrated at our annual Star Awards, with the top photographs showcased across our properties.

To celebrate this wonderful contribution, CEWE hosted a special event for us in Redhill, bringing together some of the people we support for a photography workshop. The day was filled with excitement, as participants explored their creativity, took stunning photographs, and printed their favourite shots at a pop-up CEWE Photostation to take home as keepsakes.

We are especially grateful to Christie Goodwin and CEWE’s Head of Photo Culture and Quality, Dale Orton, who joined the workshop to provide one-on-one guidance and insights, creating an inspiring and memorable experience for all involved.

Petra Felgen, Managing Director at CEWE UK, said
“Our international photo competition, the CEWE Photo Award, allows photography lovers to participate in a global contest while also enabling us to give back to local communities and charities. Christie Goodwin nominated Active Prospects, a charity close to her heart, and we are honoured to support its incredible work with this significant donation and unique event.”

Christie Goodwin shared her thoughts on the donation:
“As jury president of the CEWE Photo Award, I was proud to nominate Active Prospects. The charity holds a special place in my heart, supporting autistic people like my son Charlie. It’s wonderful to see this donation being used to foster creativity and well-being.”

Maria Mills, our CEO, expressed heartfelt thanks:
“We are deeply grateful to CEWE for their amazing support. This donation will make a real difference to the people we support, helping us bring our ‘Creative Moments’ project to life and enabling more people to live full and aspiring lives.”
