Active Prospects Partners with East Surrey College to Deliver Innovative Creative and Skills-Based Courses

In partnership with East Surrey College, we have developed a selection of courses bringing innovative and empowering learning opportunities to a cohort of people.

At Active Prospects, we believe in co-creating pathways that help individuals develop confidence, explore new interests, and build meaningful skills for everyday life.

Ten people have already begun a structured Printmaking Course, which includes printmaking techniques, creative experimentation, and the development of personal creative ideas. As a result this hands-on project, participants are encouraged to express themselves while building artistic skills, focus, and confidence.

These opportunities have been thoughtfully co-designed with people with lived experience, empowering participants to shape the skills they want to learn and develop.

Looking ahead to 2026

Two additional courses will be introduced following the success of previous programmes. These new opportunities will offer even more choice and variety:

Digital Skills Course

A wide-ranging course designed to build digital independence and confidence, covering:

  • Online safety
  • Microsoft applications
  • Using AI
  • Digital technology for audio and visual projects

Hair and Beauty Course

A practical and wellbeing-focused course introducing:

  • Hand care and massage
  • Filing and painting nails
  • Hair care

Each course aims to expand confidence, support creativity, and promote both personal and practical development. A huge thank you to East Surrey College for this inspiring partnership and for helping to provide such inclusive learning opportunities.

We look forward to seeing how these courses evolve and what incredible achievements and creations emerge as we move into the new year.
