Surrey Three Peaks Challenge 2025: A Weekend of Community Spirit

In June, the Active Prospects community came together for our Surrey Three Peaks Challenge. A two-day event that brought staff, people we support, families and friends together to push their limits and celebrate what we can achieve as a community.

Why We Took on the Challenge

Our aim was to raise £10,000 to fund new opportunities, activities and equipment for the people we support. Thanks to the determination of everyone involved, and the generous backing of sponsors Sona and Smith & Byford, we exceeded this target and raised an incredible £10,149.

Day One: 2.25k Walk

The weekend began with an uplifting walk across Reigate Hill, where around 30 members of our community enjoyed the views, shared encouragement and marked the first milestone with a well-earned picnic. It set the tone for what was to come: teamwork, positivity and plenty of laughter.

Day Two: 37km Walk

Saturday saw participants take on the full 37km Surrey Three Peaks route. The heat made the challenge tougher than expected, but the determination and support shown throughout the day carried everyone forward. Whether completing the full distance or reaching personal goals along the way, the sense of achievement at the finish line was shared by all.

A Community Effort & Until Next Time!

The Surrey Three Peaks Challenge once again highlighted the strength and spirit of Active Prospects. When we come together – across homes, services and teams – we create powerful moments that stay with us. This year’s event was our most successful yet, and we’re excited to build on this momentum for next year’s challenge.
