Surrey Charities’ ambitions for a more equitable world

As part of our commitment to enabling a more equitable world, Active Prospects has been proud to lead on an Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) survey on behalf of Surrey charities. Active Prospects designed the survey, produced a report and identified recommendations for action.

The staff from over thirty charitable organisations from across Surrey completed the survey. Its results will help identify and prioritise actions for collaboration, positive action, and initiatives on all EDI matters. These result will support equity in governance and leadership, representation and voice, as well as service and staff accessibility and outcomes.

The Surrey Charities EDI group brings together key partners from across all sectors. They share best practice, learning and innovation to support progression on EDI within our organisations and across our communities.

Maria Mills, Active Prospects CEO, said “unless we understand where we are, we can’t see where we need to progress. A base-line survey captures key EDI data and helps focus actions and discussions. It provides a point from which to measure the impact of these actions”.
