Wolverton Gardens offers a dedicated service with accommodation for up to five people with severe learning and physical disabilities.
Facilities
Wolverton Gardens is a large detached bungalow in a quiet residential area in Horley. We aim to give people choice, quality of life, and as much independence as possible. We offer comfortable rooms, spacious communal areas, our own vehicle to enable people to easily access the wider community with support, as well as a secluded, well-maintained garden. All of the accommodation is on the ground floor. This is an ideal service for people who enjoy a peaceful home environment, and interacting with others. Staff are on site 24 hours a day, including sleep-in and waking night.
Local area
Horley is a town in the borough of Reigate and Banstead in Surrey. It is located close to Crawley and Gatwick Airport in West Sussex; and Reigate and Redhill in Surrey. It has excellent transport links, including a railway station, and the local Metrobus bus routes connect the town with Redhill, Three Bridges, Crawley, East Grinstead, Caterham and Gatwick Airport, as well as the outlying villages of Charlwood and Smallfield. Horley offers an excellent choice of shops to suit most tastes, ranging from boutique clothes shops to family run, independent cycle shops, and supermarkets. There is also the Archway Theatre, and a large leisure centre offering a gym, 25-metre indoor swimming pool and sports hall. The service has excellent links with local facilities including the YMCA in Redhill which offers football, basketball, and badminton; as well as bowling in Reigate. We support people to access the cinemas in Reigate and Crawley; and the local riding school in Horley, where people can enjoy horse and cart rides.
