The Pines is a residential service for up to six adults with multiple and profound learning disabilities.
What support is available
The staff team at the Pines provide support 24/7 and are proud of the ‘family feel’ of the service. They provide support with all aspects of personal care, medication, meals and physical wellbeing. The staff team also provide support for people to engage in a range of meaningful activities and are trained in intensive interaction and sensory interaction. The team uses sensory aids and intensive interaction to enable communication between people.
Facilities
The Pines is a large bungalow with six spacious bedrooms, bathrooms, a large lounge and kitchen/diner. The service is fully wheelchair accessible including a beautiful garden which the residents enjoy tending and soaking up the better weather. Living at the Pines brings new opportunities every day. Residents enjoy sports, arts, music, cookery, social groups, shopping, eating out and much more!
Local area
Redhill is a busy town with lots to do, including a large college and several support groups and therapeutic projects for tenants to engage with. It has a pedestrianised high street, with a wide range of shops including the Belfry Shopping Centre; Warwick Quadrant; a street market each Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and occasional French market. Supermarkets in the town include a large Sainsbury, and Marks and Spencer Food Hall; and there is a choice of GP surgeries and dentists. Redhill is near to Reigate and has easy access to Crawley, Gatwick, Croydon, London and Brighton. It is at the junction of the A23 and A25 roads, and the M25 and M23 motorways are within three miles. Redhill has its own railway station and numerous bus services are operated to the town including route 100 to Crawley which is part of the Fastway bus rapid transport system. London Gatwick Airport is only 6 miles from Redhill, and there is also the local Redhill Aerodrome.
