What Support is Available
Support provided at Horsham House is informed by a Positive Behaviour Support framework and includes a focus on wellbeing. Staff receive additional training in sensory support approaches, autism, PBS, intensive interactions, self-injurious behaviour, resilience, and inclusive communication. Maybo and Active Support are also provided. Active Prospects uses a wellbeing model to help people identify, set, and achieve their own personal outcomes and goals.
Facilities
The accommodation consists of four self-contained one-bedroom flats, each with its own kitchen, bathroom, and front entrance. Horsham House is a two-storey property, with two of the flats located on the ground floor and two on the first floor. All residents at Horsham House share a communal garden. Each flat has been designed in line with capable environment specifications and can be adapted to meet individual needs if required. The service is situated in a pleasant residential area.
Local Area
The service is located in Horsham, close to St Leonards Park, and only a 7-minute bus ride away from Horsham town centre. It is also within walking distance of local shops and takeaways.
