Overview

What support is available

The staffing will allow for a core staff team as well as additional one to one support if required. There will be three staff on each shift covering 24 hours as part of core , this will cover days and nights. We also encourage the use of assertive technology such as “Just roaming” to ensure people can be as independent as possible with less intrusive support. This service will have a Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager and two support practice leads on site as well as 24 hours on call service.

Our staff are trained in the Positive behaviour support framework including Active Support, intensive interaction, communication methods,  self-harm , resilience, and Maybo techniques. Active Prospects also use a wellbeing model to help people identify , set, and achieve their own personal outcomes and goals.

Facilities  

The accommodation consists of 6 self-contained one-bedroom flats which have their own kitchens, bathrooms, and front entrances. The property is all on ground floor with each flat having its own garden space with small patio area perfect for those summer days. Each flat has been designed in line with capable environments specifications and can be adapted to meet individual needs if required. There is a separate building on site which offers communal space for organised skill building, activities, and events as well as some communal outside space. This allows people to decide for themselves how much their wish to socialise with their neighbours and others. The site is right next to our large allotment which runs sessions across the week a great place to meet new people and be part of our grow and eat program.

Local area

The service is a short bus ride to Redhill Town centre and walking distance to local shops and takeaways. There is a fully inclusive leisure centre and Gym within a 5-minute walk as well as great train links to Brighton and London.
