Gloucester Road – Supported Living

Overview

Gloucester Road offers 9 single occupancy flats, for people with learning disabilities and/or autism.

What support is available

Support is on site 24/7, and is provided based on each person’s individual requirements and assessed needs. Support is both person-centred and outcome-focused. All staff receive full mandatory training, additional specific training as required; and are trained in Positive Behaviour Support, MAYBO and Active Support. Our Clinical Lead is a qualified psychologist who specialises in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Positive Behaviour Support; she leads on the transition and ongoing support for anyone who has complex needs and/or is part of the Transforming Care cohort.

You will receive a list of who is supporting you at what time each week, and should a member of staff be unable to provide your support e.g. due to annual leave, we will advise you of the change of staff at the earliest opportunity. We will provide support timetables in a pictorial format if you prefer.

Facilities

The service is made up of two buildings, with all tenants sharing a communal lounge/kitchen. It offers parking at the front of the building and a communal garden at the rear. Each flat has a cooker, washing machine, and fridge freezer in the kitchen; a dining table and chairs in the lounge/diner; and a bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers in the bedroom. We also provide a starter pack of crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils for the kitchen. We do not provide bedding or towels, however if this is going to be a real problem please let us know, and we will do our best to help.
