Cedarwood Lodge offers a specialist service with accommodation for up to five people, designed to accommodate the needs of people with physical disabilities as well as learning disabilities.
What support is available
Staff are on site 24 hours a day, including sleep-in and waking night.
Cedarwood Lodge is one of our three specialist buildings, accommodating the needs of people with physical and learning disabilities. We offer a specialist service with accommodation for up to five people, including those with profound learning disabilities. Our aim is to give people choice, quality of life, and as much independence as possible. We also support people who have mental health needs (dual diagnosis), autistic spectrum conditions, dementia, and epilepsy.
Cedarwood Lodge offers comfortable rooms, spacious communal areas and our own vehicle to enable people to easily access the wider community with support. There is an enclosed courtyard garden which benefits from level access. Within this garden, we grow a variety of vegetables and watch the birds. We are well situated close to the local shops and amenities of Redhill, and this service is ideally suited to someone in need of high levels of support. All staff are trained in intensive interaction and person-centred active support.
Redhill is a busy town with lots to do, including a large college and several support groups and therapeutic projects for tenants to engage with. It has a pedestrianised high street, with a wide range of shops including the Belfry Shopping Centre; Warwick Quadrant; a street market each Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and occasional French market. Supermarkets in the town include a large Sainsbury, and Marks and Spencer Food Hall; and there is a choice of GP surgeries and dentists. Redhill is near to Reigate and has easy access to Crawley, Gatwick, Croydon, London and Brighton. It is at the junction of the A23 and A25 roads, and the M25 and M23 motorways are within three miles. Redhill has its own railway station and numerous bus services are operated to the town including route 100 to Crawley which is part of the Fastway bus rapid transport system. London Gatwick Airport is only 6 miles from Redhill, and there is also the local Redhill Aerodrome.
