Raven Housing Trust volunteer at Active Prospects’ services

Active Prospects recently partnered with Raven Housing Trust on two corporate volunteering projects at its services in Redhill and Reigate, thanks to the support of Voluntary Action Reigate and Banstead (VARB). The projects formed part of Raven Housing Trust’s 15th anniversary celebrations, during which they supported 15 local community projects across Surrey and Sussex. Active Prospects was delighted that three of its services were chosen to be part of this special occasion.

Staff from Raven got hands-on to paint a brand new shed at residential service, Blanford Road in Reigate. A second team got stuck-in to the construction of a bike shed at Chestnut Court, in Redhill, and a third team undertook fence painting at Shrewsbury Road in Redhill, enhancing the home environment of people we support at these services.

Raven Housing Trust is a company with a clear social purpose, with ambitions and values that align with those of Active Prospects. Raven are building 200 new homes a year across a range of tenures including shared ownership, social rent, temporary accommodation and market sale. As a social business they are responding to local need by providing quality homes for local people, investing in their existing homes and in the communities in which they operate. Active Prospects hopes to retain a long and fruitful relationship with them, working together to help strengthen local communities and support vulnerable residents to live more independently.
