Active Growth Allotment Project
Our allotment project, Active Growth, provides a friendly, local community gardening project for adults with learning disabilities or mental health needs.
The project is open to people supported by Active Prospects and those in the wider community who would benefit from being involved. Benefits for participants include fresh air and exercise, meeting new people, developing skills for employment, and the stimulation of planting and watching things grow. Support Workers, parents or carers are warmly welcomed to attend with participants.
Active Growth runs throughout the year over 8-week programmes of 2.5 hours per week. You can sign-up for the full 8 week programme, or come along on a session-by-session basis. Sessions run on Thursday afternoons at Princes Road allotments in Earlswood.
To apply, complete our simple form so that we know how best to support you to get the most out of the session, or print and complete our easy read registration form and return it to us. You can find out more by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01737 924231.
The allotment is fully wheelchair accessible, and parking is available on-site. Old clothes and good footwear are recommended and we have some Wellies available in various sizes which can be loaned to participants by prior arrangement.
