Active Prospects provides a wide variety of support to vulnerable adults including those with learning disabilities, mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, dementia, autism and Asperger’s Syndrome; from round the clock support, in a residential service or supported living, to emergency care and respite services.
Some people need just a few hours support each week to make the most of living in their local community. Others need more intensive care and support. We provide services aimed at encouraging people to access supported employment and volunteering and a programme of activities to enable independence and community engagement so that people with disabilities can get the most out of their lives.
Active Prospects offers a variety of services across East and Mid-Surrey and Croydon:
Our eight residential care homes across Surrey provide expert, intensive, round the clock support for people with profound and complex learning disabilities.
Our Community Prospects (supported living services) provide support to people living in wide ranging independent housing and shared accommodation, directly provided by Active Prospects as well other landlords’ or people’s own accommodation. This service helps people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, sensory impairment and people with Asperger’s Syndrome live as independently as possible.
We operate a short breaks and emergency placement service in East Surrey, providing support to young people aged between 18 and 30 who have a learning disability. This service allows carers to take a break from support without compromising on the quality of support given and enables young people to experience a wide range of activities both at the service and in the community. We also offer some of our young people support in their family home. We also support a number of people on emergency placements whose care elsewhere may have broken down, who now need rapid access to a bespoke support service.
We offer transitional services for young people moving from residential settings into the community to enable people to become as independent as possible, in a flexible supportive environment and helping them find their long term homes.
We support a wide range of peer-led activities that enable independence and the development of community networks, friendships, learning and work opportunities.
We know that finding the right home or service is never easy, whether it is for yourself, a member of your family, or you are professional supporting someone who needs accommodation and support. We are here to help you – we want to ensure that you have all the information you need about each of our services, the support that is provided, and the facilities and activities available at home and in the wider community.
At Active Prospects we treat every person as a unique and valued individual, and provide the specific services they want and need. We encourage and support a life that is full of opportunity; and involve people as valued citizens in the community of their choice.
