New service to open in Horsham, offering tailored support for those with complex health needs

Active Prospects is excited to announce construction work is underway on a brand-new service in Horsham.

The new service is Active Prospects’ first in Horsham and will help to address the critical gap in support for individuals with complex needs when it opens this summer. The service will be state-of-the-art with four bespoke new flats. The new service will offer local people with disabilities and autistic people the opportunity to move from long-term hospital environments to their own flat.

Over the last four years, Active Prospects has helped over 50 people with complex needs to move from in-patient settings into their own homes, with a 94% success rate. This includes Mel, who spent more than 20 years in hospital settings before she moved into a home developed by Active Prospects. Since then, she has flourished and gained significant confidence in being part of her community to live a full life.

Maria Mills, Active Prospects’ CEO, said “We are thrilled to announce the development of our new service in Horsham. Our team is passionate about making a difference and helping people to live more independently. We hope that this service will offer a transformative experience for people with complex health needs. We are experts at helping people to live aspiring lives, and we are excited to help local people in Horsham for the first time.”
