Hot, Hot, Hot at Horley Carnival!

This year Active Prospects took part in Horley Carnival for the first time on Saturday June 17th, with both an information and activities stall and a float in the Carnival procession, to help raise our profile in the community.

We were very fortunate to secure the support of The Gatwick Group who loaned us a vehicle and driver on the day. And SGN, a gas supply company based in Horley, provided a corporate volunteering team to create the myriad of fishy wonders used to decorate the float for the ‘Wonders of the Sea’ theme.

It was a great team effort with staff and people we support volunteering on the day and helping to set up the marquee, create the float, taking part in the procession and running the stand, games, activities and recruitment desk for the afternoon.

Whilst the day itself was extremely hot, everyone had a brilliant time and we’re looking forward to taking part again next year!
