#HelloYellow for World Mental Health Day

Staff and people we support marked #WorldMentalHealthDay on Wednesday 10th October 2018 with a fundraising bake sale and coffee morning at our Head Office. The event was co-produced by Active Wellbeing staff and some of the people we support who are members of our Active Wellbeing Committee.

As well as lots of lovely savouries, cakes and bakes brought in for everyone to buy and share, attendees said #HelloYellow and wore yellow to support mental health charity Young Minds’ campaign, and show young people that they’re not alone when it comes to mental health.

Everyone who joined us at Head Office was asked what they do to look after their mental health, cheer themselves up, or make themselves realise how amazing they are. We loved their answers! Our wonderful supported volunteers Pat and Megan, at our Charity Shop in Horley, also got into the spirit on the day by wearing yellow.

Funds raised went to Young Minds, a mental health charity supporting and empowering young people with mental health difficulties.
