Christmas Songbook brings good cheer

As part of the Royal Albert Hall’s Christmas season, Albert’s Band performed a special Christmas-themed concert especially for people supported by Active Prospects.

It was a wonderful event with a songbook of firm Christmas favourites all narrated by the trio, a tuba, a trumpet and a guitar. The performers provided the audience with lots of back stories about the Royal Albert Hall, the history of the performers, and the songs chosen.

The group played and sang for 45 minutes with the audience all laughing and singing along. Pro-Active Committee chairperson, Pat, really got lost in the songs, and Alison and Olivia from Beech Lodge did their own rendition of ‘O come all ye faithful’ when they returned to their service after the concert!

Staff and people we support collected nearly £40 which they were delighted to hand over to the talented ensemble at the end of the concert, in grateful thanks for a wonderfully festive morning.
