Recently, we came together for a special celebratory lunch to recognise colleagues who have reached incredible milestones in their careers with us. This event was more than a lunch – it was a moment to reflect on years of commitment, share stories, and celebrate the values that bring us together. The atmosphere was warm and uplifting, filled with laughter, gratitude, and inspiring conversations that reminded us why our mission matters.
We proudly honoured seven exceptional team members whose loyalty and hard work have shaped our organisation: Ade Adewale, Edwick Office, Gertrude Clark, and Mary Goodband – each marking an impressive 15 years of service. Alongside them, Maria Mills, Jo Greenaway, and Sandra Wright celebrated 10 remarkable years. These milestones represent not just time, but countless moments of impact, innovation, and care.
Gertrude reflected on the occasion, saying:
“It feels wonderful to be recognised and to enjoy such a lovely time together. I have loved my years working at Active Prospects and have many memories of people.” Edwick added: “It really means a lot to be thought of and invited to be with the team.”
As colleagues shared their highlights, one theme stood out, the most treasured memories were those spent with the people we support. A Decade of Leadership
Our CEO, Maria Mills, marked her own milestone of 10 years at Active Prospects. Reflecting on her journey, Maria shared,
“There are so many moments I remember and so many that stand out as huge achievements. One of the greatest was the opening of Great Meadows – a project that was deeply involved with various teams and truly rewarding. Seeing the joy and celebration when people we support moved into homes of their own, often for the very first time, was unforgettable. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside incredible colleagues and witnessing people we support lead aspiring lives. That is what makes every milestone so meaningful.”
