ACTIVE Values

Active Prospects launches their new ACTIVE Values.

Our values underpin everything we – as an organisation – do. We believe that by living out the values, we will make a difference and help the people we support to lead aspiring lives.

Following a challenging few years for social care, we decided to refresh our values to reflect the changing times. Our review was led by a working group chaired by the CEO, which comprised a cross-section of staff from across the organisation, including support workers, service managers and head office staff.

They came up with some suggested new values, which staff and people we support were able to comment on at an all staff zoom meeting.

The new values are:

Aspiring – We are ambitious for our people and ourselves
Caring – We care about people and their wellbeing, acting with kindness and empathy
Trusting – We act with integrity, and are open, honest and transparent
Inclusive – We actively promote equity, diversity and inclusion in all we do
Vocal – We amplify the rights of people to have a good life with equitable health and wellbeing outcomes
Ethical – We work with integrity, uphold good governance principles and act sustainably

We spoke to some of our staff and people we support, to find out what the values mean to them
