Active Prospects was recognised for the creativity and dedication of its staff at two awards ceremonies. First, we won the Innovation in Practice Award at the Surrey Care Awards, in recognition of the way we have worked with the people we support to find new ways of delivering even better support. The judges highlighted how we have embraced technology, co-production and partnerships to inject innovation and creativity into our practice.
Later, our Director of Care, Jade Vallance, was recognised for her extraordinary efforts during the pandemic by winning the Social Care Covid Hero Award for the south-east region at the Great British Care Awards. Jade has shown superhuman leadership, resilience and dedication over the last three years, and we are delighted that she was picked as the winner from twenty shortlisted nominees. Jade will now go forward to the national awards in March 2023, when she will be up against the other regional winners in her category.
Maria Mills, CEO of Active Prospects, said: “We are thrilled to be recognised by our peers in the Surrey care sector for the innovative work we do. And we are proud of Jade’s achievement in winning another award for her exemplary leadership through Covid. She moved into a service for a week when the whole staff become infected, always leading from the front and prioritising people’s safety. She has truly been a Covid hero, always remaining positive, empathetic and passionate.”
