What support is available

The service is situated in a quiet residential area and provides a calm homely atmosphere, with 24/7 care. The Montfort staff team pride themselves on supporting people to maintain independence in their later years. The team are trained in Active Support to enable this. The team are committed to meeting the changing health and mobility needs of the people they support. Therefore, they complete training, support and resources for falls prevention, dementia and recognising early signs of health decline.

Facilities

The bungalow has 5 spacious bedrooms allowing for plenty of personal space. The hub of the house is the open plan kitchen/diner/living room where the people that live there can enjoy cooking and sharing meals together. They take part in a range of activities including games, quizzes, crafts, watching a weekend football match or afternoon film. Montfort has a beautiful garden, enabling people to grow their own vegetables and salads, and enjoy frequent summer barbecues. All the tenants have access to a range of community-based activity services which enable them to do the things they enjoy and meet friends regularly. Active Prospects provide a range of activities throughout the week including Bingo, music, art, and social groups. We also have a strong affiliation with the Pro-Active Community, a user-led charity that organises events and runs special interest projects.
