Active Prospects named as a Mindful Employer

Active Prospects has been recognised for our work to improve mental health in the workplace, by being named as a Mindful Employer.

At Active Prospects, we pride ourselves on supporting our staff and the mental wellbeing. We have trained all our managers as mental health first aiders. They act as a point of contact for any staff wanting a chat or needing support. We have an active wellbeing committee, who meet monthly to discuss what we are doing as an organisation and what more we can do. We also offer virtual exercise classes for both staff and people we support, to benefit both physical and mental wellbeing. This includes Yoga, Chairacise and Wobble sessions.

Established in 2004, Mindful Employer is a UK wide initiative run by Devon Partnership NHS Trust. Providing employers with easier access to professional Workplace Mental Health training, information and support, the initiative aims to help empower employers to take a lead in supporting the mental wellbeing of their staff. By signing the ‘Charter for Employer Positive About Mental Health’, Active Prospects have made a public statement of our desire to support the mental health of our staff across the organisation.
