Equality and Diversity
At Active Prospects we value and celebrate difference
Our values, and our expectations of staff, underline our strong commitment to equality of opportunity and to valuing the diversity of our organisation, and underpin the way in which we work together to enable people we support to achieve aspiring things.
We are Disability Confident
Through Disability Confident, the government is working with employers to:
- challenge attitudes towards disability
- increase understanding of disability
- remove barriers
- ensure that disabled people have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations
Active Prospects is registered as a Disability Confident Employer, which means that we recruit and retain disabled people with physical and/or mental health conditions for their skills and talent and we employ a number of the people we support. From September 2017, we will have eight interns working with us through the Surrey SEND Internship initiative.
