Cedarwood Lodge is one of our three specialist buildings designed to accommodate the needs of people with physical disabilities as well as learning disabilities. Here we offer a specialist service with accommodation for up to five people, including those with profound learning disabilities, and we aim to give people choice, quality of life, and as much independence as possible. We also support people who also have mental health needs (dual diagnosis), autistic spectrum conditions, dementia, and epilepsy.
We offer comfortable rooms, spacious communal areas, our own vehicle to enable people to easily access the wider community with support. There is an enclosed court yard garden which benefits from level access, we enjoy growing a variety of vegetables and we enjoy spending time in the courtyard watching the varying wild birds including the birds nesting the bird box. We are well situated close to the local shops and amenities of Redhill, and this service is ideally suited to someone in need of high levels of support. All staff are trained in intensive interaction and person-centred active support. Staff are on site 24 hours a day, including sleep-in and waking night.
We treat every person as a unique and valued individual, and provide the services they want and need; encourage and support a life that is full of opportunity; and involve people as valued citizens in the community of their choice.
