Salary: up to £19,292 per annum (based on 40 hours per week)

Support Worker (Young People)

Active Prospects are recruiting for Support Worker’s to join our team and support a young person in our supported living service located in Redhill.

Located near East Surrey Hospital, this supported living service is a bungalow that is supporting a young adult with autism. The aim for this service will be to enable the person we are supporting to become independent and enable them to learn new skills and achieve goals and aspirations.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in supporting and assisting the person we support in doing activities and learning new skills to enable them to become an independent individual. Activities will involve encouraging to go into the community and learning new skills within the service as well as supporting them with administration of medication when required. Personal care will need to be supported when required and given the appropriate training. This role will involve 2:1 and 1:1 support.

This is a excellent opportunity for those with knowledge or awareness of autism (professional or personal experience). Successful applicants need to be able to ‘think outside the box’ and use their initiative. Communication and listening skills are essential.

Shift Patterns: As a full-time opportunity, you will be given shifts for 5 days out of 7 which will include weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis. Days shifts will be 7am – 2:30pm and 2pm – 9:30pm.
